The polysilicon plant “矽昶”, which was jointly invested by Taiwanese Dingyuan Optoelectronics (2426) and its subsidiary, Jingjingke (3562), in Hangzhou, China, is scheduled to start production in October, with a total capacity of 1,000 tons, and the trial production is going smoothly. Production capacity is expected to rise to 5,000 tons in 2011.

It is understood that 矽昶 began to enter the machine in July, starting trial production in August, the capital amount is 29.99 million US dollars, Dingyuan holds about 37.5% of the shares, the other is the top Jingke and personal investment; Yuan said that after Dingyuan and Dingjingke were successfully put into operation in October, they will have further investment actions.
