Japan’s Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. announced on October 25 that it has joined hands with Chinese hot pot restaurant giant Haidilao to launch a new business, which will develop and provide an automated system for the catering industry in which arm-type robots serve hot pot dishes in the kitchen. The application was used in a smart restaurant opened in Beijing, China on October 28, and then gradually promoted.
According to Kyodo News, as early as March this year, Japan's Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. established a joint venture company with Haidilao International Holdings Co., Ltd. The name of the joint venture company is Beijing Yinghai Intelligent Automation Technology Co., Ltd.
Jun Yamashita, general manager of Yinghai Intelligent Company, said that this intelligent restaurant relies on Panasonic's robotics and image recognition technology to realize the fully automated operation of the back kitchen. After a customer orders a meal with a terminal such as a tablet computer, the automatic dish warehouse can automatically assemble the dishes containing the dishes and load them into the tray.
This can not only help companies improve operational efficiency, cope with high labor costs and shortage of manpower, but also help prevent mismatched dishes and strengthen hygiene management.
At a press conference held in Tokyo, Panasonic Executive Director Yasuyuki Higuchi emphasized: "I hope that in the rapidly developing Chinese catering industry, I hope to contribute to the realization of business automation including safety and security and hygiene management." Director of Haidilao Long Zhang Yong said that this is an epoch-making method to change the troublesome inefficiency problem.
