National Grid State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute laid the foundation

The State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute, funded and set up by the State Grid Corporation of China, laid the foundation stone in the future city of Changping District, Beijing. General manager of the State Grid Corporation of China, party secretary Liu Zhenya, deputy mayor of Beijing Chen Gang and other leaders jointly laid the foundation stone for the project. The Central Organization Department, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the relevant persons in charge of China Machine Link, China Electric Power Association, and China Electrical Engineering Society attended the foundation laying ceremony.

In March of this year, the party group of the State Grid Corporation decided to establish the State Grid Smart Grid Institute. The institute will focus on the research and development of high-tech and smart grid high-end technology equipment, core components, system integration, new energy equipment and other technologies and products, which will help the company to grasp the core technologies of power grid development and improve the comprehensive R&D capabilities of key equipment.

The State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute has a total land area of ​​203,000 square meters and a registered capital of 1 billion yuan. In the early stage of this institute, five research institutes including transformers, switches, intelligent power transmission technology, protection and automation, new energy and new materials, and a standardized testing center will be established to form a pattern of 'five centers and one center', focusing on high-power power electronic devices. , Smart components, new optical transformers and other seven categories of products. By the end of 2012, the Institute will complete 29 scientific research achievements that have reached the international leading level.
