In August this year, Samsung released the first Q900R series of QLED quantum dot TVs with 8K ultra-clear resolution, including 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch models. Now it has finally begun to ship, and the price is naturally high.

At present, the British digital home appliance mall Currys has started to exclusively sell Samsung Q900R 8K TVs, but for the time being, only 65-inch TVs can be purchased at a price of 4,999 pounds, or about 45,000 yuan.

It is worth mentioning that although Samsung is not the first to release or start selling 8K TVs, this is the first time 8K TVs have been ushered in the UK market.

As for the 75-inch and 85-inch models, they can be ordered now and will be shipped within 10-21 days. The prices are 6,999 pounds and 14,999 pounds, respectively, which is approximately RMB 64,000 and RMB 136,000!

Samsung Q900 series TVs have a resolution of up to 7680×4320, based on Samsung’s quantum dot LED full-array backlight technology, with a peak brightness of 4000nits, which has reached the limit of HDR content today and is also the record of various 8K TVs.

It supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG at the same time, but does not support Dolby Vision at least temporarily, and the color gamut supports 100% DCI-P3.

Thanks to Samsung’s Quantum Processor 8K processor, it also supports Samsung’s unique 8K AI modulation technology, which can convert existing content to 8K resolution for normal playback, and supports a maximum frame rate of 240FPS.
