Approaching the package of big coffee billion light, I was fortunate enough to interview Mr. Liu Bangyan, the general manager of the Greater China Business Marketing Group of Everlight Electronics Manufacturing Group, to talk about the industrial layout of Yiguang Electronics in the post-lighting era.

Market recovery, multi-threaded layout

According to the latest statistics, the scale of China's LED packaging market in 2015 was 8.8 billion US dollars, with an annual growth rate of only 2%. In 2016, the demand for lighting manufacturers to replenish stocks came out, which led to an increase in the rate of LED chip manufacturers, and the market showed signs of recovery. The mainland LED packaging market is 9.3 billion US dollars, with an annual growth rate of 5%.

Billion Light proved this with performance. According to the Yiguang Q1 quarterly report, 2016Q1 revenue was NT$6.951 billion, down 3.9% from the same period last year, and the gross profit margin was as high as 25%, a record high of nearly five seasons.

Liu Bangyan said that the current production capacity of Yiguang is 4,800 kk. According to the current expansion schedule, the capacity after expansion is about 5,800 kk. Among them, consumer electronics such as small pitch and flash lamps account for 30%, infrared IR accounts for 25%, and backlights account for 19%. Lighting accounts for 20% and cars account for the remaining 6%.

Enhance competitiveness, upgrade and optimize competitive products

In terms of small spacing, Liu Bangyan said that the positioning of the small spacing has been reduced from the original 2.5 to 2.0. The following 2.0 can only use 1010 or 0808, or even smaller 0606 and 0505. At present, the world's largest supply of small-pitch and best-selling is Yiguang. In 2015, Yiguang's small-pitch turnover accounted for 8%, so the development and positioning of small-pitch, the future of Yiguang's small spacing The market is still big. At the same time, in order to cope with the market demand, Everlight has expanded the production capacity of small pitch from the current 600KK to Q3 1000KK, and will not rule out additional expansion in the future.

In terms of DOB, it is assembled by Yiguang's own 2835 series. It has various wattages and sizes. The circle has φ33 and φ90. The square has 33x33mm, 50x50mm and 180x80mm. The Yiguang DOB has easy assembly and saves driver cost. And the advantages of dimming, it is in line with the needs of downlights, ceiling lights and bulb ball applications.

According to Liu Bangyan, the main push of Yiguang is the European and American markets. Because there are some hypermarkets in the European and American markets, they have their own brands, but they are not familiar with the supply chain. Therefore, they will buy such semi-finished products and manufacture them locally.

In terms of lighting components, Yiguang has a complete lighting solution, among which the 2835 series is the most prominent. Its models are complete with 0.2, 0.5 and 1.0W, each with 3V, 6V, 9V, 18V, and high luminous efficiency and high voltage. Version (24V, 30V) and high color rendering (CRI>90, R9>50).

Regarding the 2835 series products, Liu Bangyan said that in order to reduce the cost, Yiguang replaced the original large-wafer scheme with small chips in series, because the yield of small wafers is high, the cost is relatively low, and the yield of large wafers is poor, so the cost is high. Therefore, Yiguang adopted a twin crystal for the 0.58 2835 and a three-crystal scheme for the 2W 1835. This only changes the structure of the product, but it can achieve the same effect, but also reduce the cost. At present, this product is more sought after.

In terms of RGBW stage lights, this year's first RGBW series of RGBW series has a wavelength range of 450-650nm. It is a full color gamut of red, green, blue and white. The single crystal drive current reaches 700mA, ensuring that it can still be driven by high current. It maintains a stable high-quality brightness performance with an illumination angle of 130° and a controllable color function, which can be set according to personal preference.

Focus on the overall situation and increase the layout of emerging markets

In the field of automotive lighting, for the application of daytime running lights, steering and brake lights, the new 3030CLU (AM) series of high-power automotive exteriors, high-reflective ceramic package with gold-plated brackets, four colors, cool white, amber, orange and bright red Headlamps, daytime running lights, etc., launched headlight source four-crystal, five-crystal series package (Head lamp2-5chip);, instrument panel and other in-vehicle applications, launched a three-in-one, PLCC6 package 67-63U (AM ), combined with the advantages of gold plating anti-vulcanization, triple crystal, small size, RGB, etc., the benefits and conveniences are maximized in use, and the color conversion is also more excellent and smooth.

Liu Bangyan said that the layout of Yiguang's headlights is readily available. At present, this product has a large shipment volume. Last year, this piece increased by double digits. It is expected to grow by double-digit trend this year. At the same time, Liu Bangyan also revealed that the current technical threshold for headlights in automotive lighting is the highest, and now it is technology.

In terms of UV, 7 UV products are launched according to market demand, 5 of which are UVA, the smallest power is 0.08W, and the largest is 1.8W. The high-power UV product is mainly for small angles because of its high concentration of illumination. The illumination angles are 120°, 50° and 30°, and the other two are UVC, ELUC and ELUMC respectively. The power is 2mW and 20mW respectively, and the illumination angle is 120°.

In terms of IR, Liu Bangyan said that it has always been the main force of Everlight. Last year, it accounted for 25% of the annual revenue. It is expected that this year's proportion will gradually increase to 27%, and this type of products has been growing. What we are looking at is the sweeper and optical touch panel solution because it is very large. In addition to these application areas, there are security, VR has a good breakthrough this year. The company's current infrared production capacity is 350 KK, and this year's expansion target is to add 100 KK.

It can be seen that in the current lighting market, the price of wafers has stopped falling, the price of packaging has stabilized, and with the LED industry entering a mature environment, the original mature products are competitive, technologically advanced and new areas. Layout has become a key factor in improving the competitiveness of LED companies.
