The stator windings of three-phase asynchronous motors are distributed windings. The editor of Dalan Motor will introduce the types and characteristics of their commonly used windings today.
One, single-layer winding
Single-layer winding is a winding with only one effective side of the coil embedded in each stator slot, so the total number of coils is only half of the total number of slots of the motor. Single-layer windings are classified into chain windings, cross-chain windings, concentric windings, and cross-concentric windings according to their coil shape and terminal arrangement.
(1) Chain winding
It is composed of single-layer coil elements with the same shape and width. It is named because each coil at the end of the winding is like a set of chain links.
(2) Cross-chain winding
When the number of slots per pole per phase is an odd number greater than 2, the chain windings cannot be arranged. In this case, cross chain windings with single and double coils are required.
(3) Concentric winding
The winding is composed of coils with different pitches in the same pole phase group. All the coils in the pole phase group enclose the same center of the circle to get the name.
(4) Cross concentric winding
When the number of slots per pole per phase is an even number greater than 2, the form of crossed concentric windings is adopted.
The advantages of the single-layer concentric winding and the cross concentric winding are that the winding and embedding of the winding are relatively simple, and the disadvantage is that the coil end is too long and consumes too much wire. It is now occasionally used in small-capacity 2-pole 4-pole motors and is rarely used at present.
Two, double-layer winding
The advantage of double-layer windings is that suitable short-distance windings can be selected arbitrarily to improve the electromagnetic waveform, and fractional slot windings can be used to weaken high-order harmonics. After using the double-layer winding, the electromagnetism performance, energy index and starting characteristics of the motor are better than that of the single-layer winding.
(1) Double laminated winding
When the number of slots in each pole and phase of the double-stacked winding is an integer, each pole-phase group is composed of q coils in series.
(2) Double-layer wave winding
It is mostly used for the rotor windings of large and medium-sized three-phase wound rotor motors and the stator windings of large motors. Since the wave winding is mostly made of a flat copper wire to form a coil, its manufacturing process is more complicated.
