In 1988, Li Xiaolin received a master's degree in electrical power system automation from Tsinghua University with outstanding achievements. She first worked as a teacher at the Electric Power Technology School, then as a dispatcher, technician, and engineer at the North China Electric Power Company, and later transferred to the Department of Energy.

"When I was in the Department of Energy, I visited many remote mountainous areas in China. At that time, there were 28 powerless counties in our country, and 120 million people had no electricity. Once, I went to a remote Xiaoshanzhai, which was In a beautiful place, I saw children there studying under a dark kerosene lamp. This scene gave me great excitement. Later, my team and I determined that our ideal is to be a bright messenger."

More than 20 years later, Li Xiaolin returned to Xiaozhai as the chairman of CLP International and saw that although every household had electric lights there, industrialization and urbanization have led to industrial pollution in the past. This prompted Li Xiaolin to further strengthen her determination to develop new energy sources.

"We want to develop. We must also pursue quality development. We hope that our descendants, like us, can share this blue sky and improve the quality of life together," said Li Xiaolin.

"New energy, we have a sword in five years, there are now five major industrial plates, five bases." Li Xiaolin said that doing new energy is CLP International's mission and ideals. However, the new energy road is not smooth sailing. The current production efficiency of new energy is still very low. For example, the overall efficiency of wind energy is only 30% to 40%, reflecting the independent innovation ability is not strong enough. Some key components and materials still need to be imported. The core key technologies are still in the process of digestion, introduction, and joint design, and they lack proprietary intellectual property rights.
