Sony Panasonic is about to announce OLED TV development

According to Japanese media reports on Friday, informed sources revealed that Sony and Panasonic will announce the development of a mass production OLED TV (next-generation OLED TV) in cooperation agreement next week. The two companies are discussing how to develop and manufacture OLED screens at a more affordable price to counter the competition from South Korea's Samsung and LG.
As TV demand became weaker, the global TV market dominated by Japanese companies was invaded by Korean competitors in the 1980s and 1990s. Sony and Panasonic now have a desire to regain their market voice from their competitors through cooperation and resource integration.
According to the Nikkei Business Daily, on the OLED screen, Sony uses spray technology, and Panasonic uses the principle of inkjet printer technology. The two sides invested a total of 374 million US dollars to establish an experimental production line factory in Japan.
