At present, energy-saving lamps are becoming more and more popular in the market, but consumers still have many questions in purchasing and using. Reporter: Now consumers know that using self-ballasted fluorescent lamps saves electricity compared to ordinary bulbs or lamps, but how much light efficiency is improved? Please give an example.


Hua Shuming: The energy-saving effect and light efficiency of self-ballasted fluorescent lamps for general lighting are indeed much higher than ordinary incandescent bulbs and electronic ballast type ordinary straight tubular fluorescent lamps. Taking H-type energy-saving lamps as an example, a 7W H-type energy-saving lamp produces a luminous flux comparable to that of a conventional 40W incandescent lamp; a 9W H-type energy-saving lamp is equivalent to a 60W incandescent lamp. It can be seen that the light effect of self-ballasted fluorescent lamps for general illumination is 6-7 times that of incandescent lamps, which is more than 30% higher than that of ordinary straight tubular fluorescent lamps.

Reporter: In addition to saving electricity, the self-ballasted fluorescent lamps have advantages compared with other fluorescent lamps commonly used by people.

Hua Shuming: Compared with ordinary magnetic ballast fluorescent lamps, self-ballasted fluorescent lamps have the following advantages in addition to high efficiency, energy saving, light weight, and easy installation:

1. No stroboscopic, no noise, good for your health. Because the core part of the electronic ballast --- switching oscillator source is DC power supply, the input AC power is first rectified and filtered, so it is not sensitive to the frequency of the power supply, and the output of the oscillation source is high frequency AC of 20kHz ~ 50kHz. The human eye and the ear will not recognize such a high frequency at all.

2. Low voltage startup performance is good. Inductive ballast type fluorescent lamps are difficult to start when the voltage is lower than 180V, and the electronic ballast type energy-saving lamps can be quickly turned on once in about two seconds in the range of 130V~250V. ignite.

3. Strong adaptability to low-quality power grids.

4. long life. Inductive fluorescent lamps have a rated life of 2000 hours, while electronic energy-saving lamps have a rated life of 3,000 to 5,000 hours, and some have 8,000 to 10,000 hours.

Reporter: When consumers buy energy-saving lamps, they first want to ask which brand is good? How much is the price? At present, in the case of the energy-saving lamp market is still very irregular, what problems should consumers pay attention to when purchasing energy-saving lamps?

Hua Shuming: First, buy energy-saving lamps to choose well-known brands. The quality of the products of some large enterprises is good, and both safety projects and performance projects meet the standards set by the state.

Second, when purchasing energy-saving lamps, you can't just consider the price, regardless of quality. Some enterprises are based on the customer's psychology, producing multiple grades of products, how much you want to give you what grade of light, if you simply pursue low prices, you may buy unqualified lights home.

Third, when selecting a self-ballasted fluorescent lamp, first pay attention to the location of the lamp. When taking the lamp, you should take the plastic part of the lamp instead of directly holding the lamp. Then check the appearance of the lamp. The plastic part of the lamp should clearly mark the source mark (which can be the name of the trademark or manufacturer), the rated voltage and voltage range, the rated power, and the rated frequency. The bulb of the lamp should be smooth. No bubble, the phosphor coating in the tube should be fine, no particles, even white; the lamp and the tube should be vertical, should not be inclined; the soldering station of the lamp should be flat, the solder of the lead at both ends of the lamp It should not be too high; the lamp tube and the plastic part should be firmly connected, and the connection part of the lamp head and the lamp body should be tightened hardly, and should not be loose; the whole lamp should not be shaken by hand.

Consumers should look at the logo, packaging or label on the lamp when buying. If you ask a few words about the place you don't understand, you may find many problems and provide some information for the purchase. Beware of buying products that are counterfeit, fraudulently used, or even certified. Some old brands have won the trust of consumers, so they have led some unscrupulous manufacturers to falsify the origins, fraudulent use of other brands, not to mention those "three no" products, these energy-saving lamps can not be bought.

Reporter: Is the use of fluorescent lamps in the same way as ordinary light bulbs? Is there any special need to pay attention?

Hua Shuming: Self-ballasted fluorescent lamps should first look at the instructions before use. At present, most domestic self-ballasted fluorescent lamps are not used for dimming circuits. The warning should be indicated in the instructions for use. Therefore, before use. Special attention should be paid to the instructions in the instructions for use. Secondly, in use, it should be used according to the conditions specified in the manual. In most cases, self-ballasted fluorescent lamps cannot be used for dimmable table lamps or other dimmable lamps.
