When the AME8846 has a maximum output current of 3A, the voltage difference is only 210mV. When the AME8882 has a maximum output current of 2A, the voltage difference is 240mV. This regulator requires two groups of operating voltages, VCNTL and VIN. VCNTL provides internal control circuitry for operation from 3V to 5.5V. VIN provides output voltage conversion and operates from 1V to 5V. The AME8846/8882 both provide ±1.5% adjustable output voltage with high accuracy and can be adjusted from 0.8V to 3.3V.
This series of low voltage difference regulators provides fast transient response time, which is very helpful for noise sensitive applications. The internal soft start design greatly reduces the transient current impact caused by system startup. Protection design Limited current, short-circuit and over-temperature and other protections provide terminal product security and have a PG pin to indicate the output voltage status.
