Look at the Japanese to develop alternative wearable devices with expression controls

According to Kyodo News, lecturer Taniguchi Hiroyuki of Hiroshima City University in Japan recently developed a wearable device. Unlike a wearable device such as Google Glass, it actually uses facial expressions to manipulate it.

This wearable device is called "Earring Computer" and it is equipped with a sensor that can sense various facial expressions and nodding movements. It can be controlled by expression if it is set in advance. Even clenching teeth and closing eyes can be identified.

The device weighs 17 grams and contains a battery, compass, gyroscope, barometer, GPS, microphone and speaker.

In terms of function, it can be connected with a smart phone to make and receive calls, or it can be connected to household appliances or even automobiles to realize functions such as opening and closing doors, and it can also calculate distances and consumed calories during exercise.

At present, this "earware computer" is undergoing software development to enable it to better support smart phones. Developers said that in addition to mountain climbing, biking and other sports can be used to provide convenience for people with disabilities.
