South Korean government plans to spend 4.6 billion won to install LED lights for private museums

Recently, the South Korean government decided to adopt a series of measures to support private museums with operational difficulties.

There are many difficulties in the operation of Korean private museums. For example, the lighting expenses of some private museums account for about 10% of the total expenditure. In order to support private museums, the Korea Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to replace the lighting equipment of 251 private museums in the country with LED lights in 2013, which is estimated to cost more than 4.6 billion won. This will save the museum nearly half of the electricity bill.
