After two years, the AXIOM board finally came out. At the beginning of AXIOM, it was mainly supported by seven different business units in Europe. There are three research institutes/colleges: Siena University, Barcelona Supercomputing Center and Fourth, four technology companies: SECo, Vimar, Evidence and Herta Security.
For the first time, the AXIOM board combines three different products: Arduino, ARM processor and FPGA. The best devices were chosen in AXIOM's design, allowing the entire board to achieve maximum real-time hardware acceleration with as little resources and energy as possible. In other words, the AXIOM board completes the perfect combination of high-performance computing, embedded computing, and information-physical fusion systems. At the same time, it is also an ideal platform for data analysis of ultra-large data volume in a short period of time, such as machine learning, neural networks, server clusters, bitcoin mining and so on.
AXIOM boards based on Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC Last month, the European AXIOM project team produced their first board, which was based entirely on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ZU9EG MPSoC. The AXIOM project is equipped with a highly sensitive and scalable fast I/O module designed to address the latest hardware and software architecture issues for the information-physical convergence system CPS.

As can be seen from Figure 1, the pin layout of this board is the same as Arduino Uno, so you can install an Arduino Uno compatible expansion board on this board. The AXIOM board uses a pin assignment similar to the Arduino Uno to provide a more familiar way of operating when constraining and configuring the FPGA I/O pins.
