Facebook application can be completed directly shopping

Facebook announced that it will join several new advertising services to allow users to shop directly through Facebook applications. When users click on a product ad, they will no longer jump to a website. Instead, they can complete all purchases within the app.

Facebook's move will further enter the e-commerce market, and thus compete with Amazon and other retailers. There are not many users currently shopping on Facebook mobile apps, mainly because of the slow speed and poor experience. Research company eMarketer data shows that current mobile shopping accounts for less than 2% of total retail transactions.

Facebook, on the other hand, hopes to make the process more fluid and win more advertising revenue. Emma Rodgers, Facebook’s director of marketing for business products, said: “We hope to make it easier for users to find the products of interest on mobile phones in an easier way, which will make the whole consumer experience easier. Can help businesses boost sales."

In Facebook's new service, some of them allow users to browse the products of specific brand manufacturers without redirecting users to another site. For example, if a user clicks on an advertisement from a fashion brand, he may see a complete page showing various fashions. Businesses on Facebook can also display products on their own pages, allowing users to buy directly. Users can also buy products directly on Facebook via the "buy now" button.

Facebook has also added a channel to its App that can take users directly to a shopping page where users can browse many brands of products.

Analysts said that through these new services, Facebook will win more advertising revenue.
