The Qinghai-Tibet grid interconnection project will strive to be completed within the year, and Tibet Power Grid and the National Grid will be networked, thus fundamentally solving the problem of power shortage in Tibet.

The total length of Qinghai-Tibet AC-DC interconnection project is 1038 kilometers, with a total investment of more than 16 billion yuan. It is the world's longest transmission project at high altitude and across the frozen land.
